Gentling Services

At Daffodil Horsemanship, we specialize in offering mustang gentling services for new mustang adopters. Whether you're adopting from the Bureau of Land Management or from the US Forest Service, we are here to help! From assistance in filling out adoption forms to scouting for your next partner, both in-person and online, we offer a one-stop shop for the entire process.

When your horse leaves us after it's been gentled, it will be able to accept touch, halter and lead, load and unload in a trailer, back up, pick up all four feet, and be blanketed. We can offer additional training up to starting under saddle as needed for additional cost.

Within reason, our team of expert haulers will pick up your horse from a satellite BLM or Forest Service pick up location and bring them directly to our facilities. Once here, your horse will spend 150 days with direct one-on-one training to bring them from their current wild state to willing partner. Our goal is to train your wild horse based on trust and mutual respect up to the point of being ready to back. Contact us to learn more about the Full Mustang Package.

Horseback Riding Lessons

In addition to our mustang gentling services, we also offer horseback riding lessons for beginning riders looking to learn all about horses from the ground up. Our lessons are designed to introduce you to horse anatomy and different disciplines, build your confidence from the ground to the saddle, and start your own personal adventure with horses. We believe that communication is key to successful horseback riding, and we teach our students how to communicate effectively with their horses through 'quiet hands.' Join us for a fun and educational experience on a one-time, weekly, or monthly basis.

**Lesson availability is dependent on current student roster and available horses.**
